Salmon N’ Bannock is the only actively running Indigenous restaurant in Vancouver, British Columbia.
The restaurant serves savory and hearty proteins like salmon and bison alongside its signature bannock, an Indigenous quick bread. The restaurant’s owner Inez Cook uses her restaurant as a way to reconnect with her Indigeneity after she was victim to a Canadian forced adoption program as an infant.
Inez works with a full team of Indigenous employees as part of her mission to create an environment where Indigenous people can flourish, and present their delicious cuisines to the world.
