No serious injuries were reported after a police vehicle was involved in a collision with a stolen car in North York early Wednesday morning.
According to police, officers were called to the area of John Garland Boulevard and Martin Grove Road shortly before 1 a.m. for reports of a person with a gun.
Police say a suspect forced their way into a home in the area and stole two sets of keys to the victim’s vehicles.
Multiple suspects then fled the scene in the vehicles, police said.
One of the vehicles was located by officers near Highway 401 and Weston Road and was subsequently involved in a collision with a police cruiser.
A suspect fled the area on foot and was later arrested by officers, police said. A firearm was recovered, investigators noted.
The second vehicle was later found and two occupants of that car were arrested, according to police. Two suspects were taken to hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
