Toronto father watches in horror on app as strangers enter home while child is alone

A Toronto father is speaking out about a traumatic experience after he watched live on an app as video showed strangers entering his residence while his 13-year-old son was home alone.
The video shows two people walking up to a home on Saturday in North York and opening the screen door before knocking. After a few failed attempts, his son eventually opens the door and the two people enter the home.
“It’s live horror, my son was taken hostage in his own home,” the father, whose identity we agreed to protect due to safety concerns, told Global News
As Caryn Lieberman reports, the father is telling his story in hopes other families learn from what happened at his home.
