On Friday, November 1, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., Police Chief Myron Demkiw was joined by Superintendent Ron Taverner, Unit Commander of 23 Division, to announce the results of Project Thoroughbred, an ongoing auto theft and re-vinning investigation. Councillor Josh Matlow of Ward 12 was also in attendance to speak about his motion to combat auto thefts in Toronto. Stolen vehicles were on display.
