The Toronto Police Service would like to update the public on an ongoing homicide investigation.
On Tuesday, May 26, at 4:08 p.m., police responded to a shooting at 375 King Street West.
It is reported that:
– officers arrived on scene and located a 15-year-old boy, a 21-year-old man, and a 27-year-old woman suffering from gunshot wounds
– they were all immediately taken to hospital
– the boy and the woman sustained non-life-threatening injuries
– the 21-year-old succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased
He has been identified as Dimarjio Jenkins, 21, of Toronto. He was a Toronto rapper also known as “Houdini”.
The suspects were seen fleeing the area in a newer model, 4-door, blue Volkswagen Tiguan SUV.
During a news conference at Toronto Police Headquarters, on May 28, 2020, security videos and photos were released.
Police have since identified one of the suspects and have established he is a young person. Media are asked to remove the previous image of the boy and all video, and replace it with the re-edited footage provided.
