All across the GTA (Greater Toronto Area), young Canadian girls are being beaten, branded, bought and sold along highways and hotels. This is an investigation into the dark underbelly of domestic sex trafficking in Ontario. This video includes accounts of sex trafficking survivors. “If you try to run your pimp will get after you. You’re like a property”, one of them say.
This video peels the cover off of this horrific criminal activity and gives casual bystanders a glimpse into the underbelly of trafficking.
Human trafficking is an issue that needs more attention. The atrocities committed against young girls are unbelievable. It’s so easy to bury our heads in the sand and think sexual slavery of our young girls (and boys) doesn’t happen in our country, it happens everywhere. The facts are startling. The stories are heartbreaking. Awareness has to come about to protect our children. Brave survivors like this, who are willing to share how easily and innocently it starts sometimes, are slowly bringing this issue into the consciousness of the public.
