3 arrested in BC bust of drug ring with links to Mexican cartels

RCMP say they’ve broken up a large operation designed to smuggle cocaine into British Columbia and that has ties to Mexican cartels.
Federal policing investigators in the province say that on Sept. 23, they, along with the Lower Mainland District Emergency Response Team (ERT), executed a search warrant on a home in Surrey and arrested the three suspects.
As Rumina Daya reports, Mounties say it’s not the first time the cartels have tried to get a foothold in the province.
